How to Consign

How Does Consignment Work?

Consignment is the smart, easy way to sell your furniture. Our agents evaluate your furniture, you agree on a fair market price, and we display it in our showroom. Once it sells, we issue you a check the following month for your agreed-upon share.

Basic Consignment Steps

  1. Call or come by Consignment Gallery to discuss the items you need to sell. If you have a photograph of larger furniture items, please bring it with you.
  2. You and our agents will set the consigned price of each item at a fair market price.
  3. We will set an appointment for you to bring your items to the store or we will arrange for your items to be picked up and delivered to the store by a local moving company. Fees for picking up items start at $35.
  4. Merchandise must be clean and in good condition. We offer limited cleaning and repair services at your request.
  5. All items will be displayed in our showroom for a period of 60 days.
  6. Checks for 50% of the sales price of items sold will be mailed to arrive on the 10th of each month for items sold in the previous month.
  7. At the end of the consignment period all unsold merchandise must be picked up or you may request that it be delivered back to you. At your request we will donate your unsold merchandise to a local charity and mail a donation receipt to you.
